Account Executive

Sales Remote (US) / Catonsville, MD Full-Time Base + Commission (OTE $120K–$180K)

About the Role

SOClogix is looking for a driven Account Executive to help grow our client base across the SMB and mid-market segments. You'll own the full sales cycle - from prospecting and discovery through proposal, close, and handoff to our onboarding team. This role is ideal for someone who understands the cybersecurity landscape and thrives in a consultative sales environment where solving real security problems for real businesses is the priority.

What You'll Do

  • Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities for SOClogix managed security services and Trident Secure Plans
  • Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline through outbound prospecting, inbound lead follow-up, referrals, and channel partnerships
  • Conduct discovery calls and consultative assessments to understand prospects' security posture, compliance requirements, and business objectives
  • Develop tailored proposals and presentations that align SOClogix services to client needs
  • Collaborate with the SOC team and technical staff to scope solutions accurately
  • Manage the full sales cycle from first touch to signed contract, including negotiation and contract review
  • Represent SOClogix at industry events, webinars, and partner meetings
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular pipeline forecasting

Requirements

  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in cybersecurity, managed services, or IT services
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quota in a hunter/closer role
  • Strong understanding of the cybersecurity threat landscape and common SMB security challenges
  • Familiarity with MSSP/MDR service models, compliance frameworks (HIPAA, PCI-DSS, NIST), or Microsoft 365 security
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar)

Nice to Have

  • Existing relationships or network in the SMB/mid-market IT or MSP space
  • Experience selling into healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, or government verticals
  • Familiarity with channel/partner sales models
  • Security certifications (Security+, CISSP, etc.) or willingness to pursue them
